Background / History

Lipri was one of the Giant Tribe children who admired Mongge when he first visited Elbaf. She repeatedly demanded to join his crew, prompting Mongge to promise that he would take her to sea once she grew up—an assurance he privately did not expect to honor. 9

Ten years later, Mongge returned to Elbaf. Lipri confronted him for forgetting his promise, then ultimately agreed to sail with him and guide him toward the Adam Tree. 8 10 She formally joined the White Wolf Pirates rather than wait indefinitely for the Giant Soldier Pirates to return. 13

Though trained in Elbaf, Lipri initially lacked real combat experience. Mongge entrusted her with the Mini Fruit and made her responsible for infiltrating a CP0 vessel to rescue Geruz and Healding, treating the mission as both a rescue and her first serious field test. 28 Her successful ambush of the agents established her as a capable combatant, but also exposed the gap between her raw Giant strength and more refined Haki users. 30 31

As the crew expanded, Lipri continued fighting alongside Rocks, Newgate, and Charlotte Linlin. Lipri is a Giant Tribe woman whose true form stands nearly twenty meters tall. She usually shrinks herself to a human-like size with the Mini Fruit, allowing her to live and travel comfortably aboard ordinary vessels. 29 73

Personality

Lipri is outspoken, spirited, and impatient with being treated as a child. She initially greets Mongge's return to Elbaf with anger over his broken promise, but her frustration stems from how strongly she has always wanted to see the world beyond Elbaf. 8 9

She is fiercely loyal to both Mongge and her homeland. When Elbaf is occupied, she returns to rally the surviving giants and openly breaks down at the prospect of Mongge risking his life for her people. 74 79 She refuses Vice Admiral Pike's invitation to join the Marines, declaring that Mongge is a better captain, man, and partner than anything the Marines can offer. 57

Lipri is competitive and dislikes the thought of being surpassed by Rocks, Newgate, or the other prodigies aboard the ship.
