Behind him stood several figures.
One was a very tall, very fat man, shaped like a ball of flesh. Another was a mysterious figure wrapped in a black cloak and wearing a mask, with not even a single strand of hair showing. The last was a squinty-eyed man whose smile looked stiff, as though it had been welded onto his face.
All three were distinctive.
Or rather, all the 200th Floor Contestants had very distinctive appearances.
"We just happened to decide we wanted to compete, too." The man, who was as fat as a mountain of flesh, held an enormous bag of chips that looked tiny in his hands. Yet his voice didn't match his appearance at all.
Su Wu immediately thought of people in the real world who used their voices to prank others online.
First, they'd use a disguised feminine voice to bewitch someone, then show them what they really looked like, delivering a devastating blow.
"Doesn't matter. You can all come at me together, if you want." Su Wu sneered, his tone full of disdain. He didn't even look at them properly.
His beautiful blue eyes seemed unable to see anyone there, aloof and utterly indifferent.
"We wouldn't do something so unfair," the squinty-eyed man said with a smile.
As if picking a fight with newcomers was not bullying them.
"This is a rite of passage every newcomer has to go through," said the mysterious figure in the black cloak.
"I don't care." The white-haired, blue-eyed boy walked toward the exit with his eyes closed, twirling the key ring of the room key he'd just received around his finger.
"If you're not afraid of dying, then go ahead and try." He tossed out the words casually and left.
The three 200th Floor Contestants watched the boy's back
