The Yuan Meng Emperor ruled an empire whose cavalry had expanded from the grasslands to the Central Plains. His personal strength was the foundation of Yuan Meng's prestige and the object of near-fanatical loyalty among its people. For more than five hundred years, he stood unchallenged as the foremost cultivator in the Human World. 138 269 335

During Yuan Meng's campaigns against Great Zhao, he personally fired arrows across the Canglang River at southbound ships. An elder from the Imperial Ancestral Temple blocked one such arrow with the Bamboo Breaking Sword, marking an early encounter between the Emperor and the sword's legacy. 70

Zhao Huangting later crossed into Yuan Meng Great Capital while burning his Nirvana Fire and challenged the Emperor. The Yuan Meng Emperor effortlessly crushed Zhao's giant sword and dispersed the resulting sword qi with a breath, though Zhao still succeeded in wounding him. 135 136

When An Le invoked the Imperial Stone Effigy's Great Wind sword intent, he sent the Emperor eight hundred zhang into Yuan Meng Great Capital's defensive formation. Rather than pursue the weakened An Le, the Emperor asked him to recover to his peak and promised to wait for a future contest. 138

Seeking the ninth Dragon Vein and a route beyond the Tenth Realm, the Yuan Meng Emperor used dragon-vein power to open the First Emperor's Mausoleum. He had already refined eight Dragon Veins and viewed the ninth as the final piece needed to reach the Eleventh Realm; he also coveted the Ancient Scripture as a possible path even further. 176 199 200 201

Inside the mausoleum, he endured the Mohist mechanism crossbow's killing field without injury, slew a Tenth Realm Immortal Descendant, and reached the spiritual platform. Alliance against Great Zhao

After escaping his seal and entering the Eleventh Realm, the Yuan Meng Emperor met An Le at Yuan Meng Great Capital. The two temporarily set aside their conflict after learning that the Ascension Technique would merge the Upper Realm with the Human World and allow immortals to remain there indefinitely. They agreed to attack Great Zhao from north and south. 269

He personally destroyed Liu Guan Shi's desperate defense at Xiangyang City, leading to the city's fall. When two Upper Realm Great Powers descended to support Great Zhao, he accepted a wager-like arrangement with An Le: each would fight one Great Power. 290 301

Final Battle and Death

As An Le's Northern Expedition approached Yuan Meng Great Capital, the Emperor continued merging Dragon Vein power. He first shared sub-vein power with the Five Elements Talisman Armor Generals, then absorbed eight Dragon Veins himself in preparation for An Le. 319 334

An Le overpowered him and hurled him into the Ninth Heaven. Driven by his refusal to lose and by his desire to surpass Zhao Huangting, the Emperor consumed the ninth Dragon Vein despite knowing it would erase his will. 335 336

The completed transformation made him an embodiment of the Human World Origin, granting him enhanced body and mind, as well as the ability to freely convert Origin Talismans. However, the transformation was temporary and overwrote his identity with the Origin's will. 336

An Le countered him with a Yin Yang Sword Wheel combining the Power of Time and Chaos Origin. The strike destroyed the Origin-transformed Emperor; as his clarity briefly returned, he acknowledged his defeat before his soul light began to dissipate. 337
