Background / History

Su Tanmeng is a fox cultivator whose honorific, Qingshan Gou Di, derives from Qingshan, the homeland she returned to find destroyed after her clan had been annihilated. The loss shaped both her guarded temperament and her hatred of Jinyun Heavenly Emperor, whose involvement in the calamity was later exposed. She eventually kills Jinyun after confronting him over the destruction of her people. 101

She became the world’s foremost Great Emperor and Empress while specializing in the Gou Dao, an approach centered on prudence, concealment, and survival. Despite her public renown, her Dao Field remained undiscovered for years because she rarely entered the world. 41
