The Demon Race busied itself with recruiting allies. Even Di Jun, the Demon Emperor, and Eastern Emperor Tai Yi went out in person to invite Great Supernatural Beings from all corners of the world. But most who had attained the Dao devoted themselves to cultivation and the pursuit of freedom; very few were willing to submit to another's authority and be bound by rules.
Over the course of a thousand years, they managed to recruit only Xi Huang Fuxi. Still, gaining even one Quasi-Saint powerhouse was no small feat. After all, how many Quasi-Saints were there in the Primordial World at the time?
The Demon Race acted openly and boldly, and most of the beings in the Primordial World were careful not to provoke them. The Witch Clan, another great power, remained relatively quiet. The Primordial World's mainstream cultivators relied on their primordial spirits, while the Witch Clan reproduced within its own ranks and had a single lineage. They had no need to recruit cultivators from across the Primordial Continent as the Demon Race did.
The Witch Clan governed its own territory, but that did not mean they were ignorant of what went on beyond it.
