Background and History

East King Duke found her still gestating as Innate Pure Yin Qi in Western Kunlun and recited the Pure Yang True Scripture to her. She later credited that sermon with saving her tens of thousands of years of cultivation 7 25.

After taking form, she cultivated in her Western Kunlun Dao field until a mysterious guidance led her to meet East King Duke at Buzhou Mountain. They traveled together and she accepted his invitation to stay at Mount Fang Island. Seeking to advance her Pure Yin origin toward Supreme Yin, she accompanied him to the Taiyin Star and obtained a portion of the Osmanthus Tree’s origin 25 26 27. She later moved her attendant Cai Ling and her Nine-Colored Divine Deer from Western Kunlun to the East Sea 49.

She and East King Duke became Dao Companions before traveling to Hongjun’s sermons. At Purple Firmament Palace, she took a vacated futon with East King Duke’s help. Hongjun subsequently appointed them heads of female and male immortals, gave her Primordial Violet Qi, and accepted her as his final disciple 50 55 63 70.

Their joint establishment of the Way of Procreation brought her the merit with which she attained sainthood. She took the title Tai Zhen Saint Mother and announced that qualified beings of Yin, Yang, and Five Elements origins could seek entry to the Yin-Yang Lineage 116 117. Later, she gave birth to twins Tai Cang and Qing Chan and taught Jingwei as her disciple 170 173.
