Shinnō's sudden retreat took everyone present except Shinji by surprise. By the time he had snatched up the Five-Tails Jinchuriki and dashed into the distant woods, everyone on the battlefield had finally come to their senses.

But once they did, no one acted right away. Instead, they all turned to look at Shinji.

There was no doubt about it.
