After joining forces with the Kumogakure Ninja Army led by the Fourth Raikage and confirming that the Third Tsuchikage was on his way, the allied forces shook off the gloom of the Sunagakure Ninja Army's defeat, regrouped, and resumed their pursuit of the Akatsuki Organization.

But not long after the troops set out, the ANBU tracking the Akatsuki members ahead sent back bad news.
