The Immortal Army

Because the "Immortal Army" summoned by Moryo was heading toward Konoha, and was now only a dozen or so miles from the village, Konoha had temporarily called up large numbers of its ninja who had been assigned to guard duty, patrols, and security. They formed a shinobi force and hurried from every corner of the village to the front lines to hold back the "Immortal Army."

So Konoha's streets were often filled with fully armed Konoha Ninja hurrying past!

Watching this scene, Hiruko chuckled. "Looks like the Five Great Shinobi Villages have already discovered Moryo's 'Immortal Army'!"

Ranmaru breathed a sigh of relief. "That should take some of the pressure off us."

"Exactly!" Hiruko said with a smile. "The clay soldiers summoned by Moryo can't be killed or destroyed. Sealing Technique is the only way to deal with them, so they'll give the Five Great Shinobi Villages plenty of trouble!"

Historically, the "Immortal Army" summoned by the monster Moryo had destroyed several countries. Faced with such an enemy, Konoha was bound to take the threat seriously.

After all, if anything went wrong, Konoha would be the first to suffer!

Hiruko continued, "But don't underestimate the Five Great Shinobi Villages, especially Konoha. They have all kinds of Sealing Techniques, so we need to move faster!"

"Yes!"

Ranmaru answered.

With Swift Release at their command, Hiruko and Ranmaru could reach the Forest of Death on the other side of Konoha in moments. Before long, they arrived one after the other at the entrance to the primeval forest that Konoha had deliberately preserved.

A Konoha squad stopped them. "Which village are you from?"

Since this was a secret attack, both Hiruko and Ranmaru wore black cloaks over their Red Cloud outfits. The Konoha squad guarding the Forest of Death's entrance didn't recognize them
