Background / History

Miejue inherited leadership of the Emei Sect after her master, Fengling Shitai, died. Fourteen years earlier, more than ten of Emei's strongest elders had perished after answering a challenge from a demonic martial artist; Miejue took command while the weakened sect faced pressure from rival forces and unrest across its territory. She subsequently maintained order within Emei while personally suppressing outside threats. 37

Her lifelong aim is restoring Emei's strength and standing. She views the sect's survival and prosperity as more important than her own feelings or reputation, adopting a severe public posture to deter those who would prey on Emei's weakness. 6 38
