Golden Crow was born into the Seven Fiend Black Golden Crow Clan alongside his sister, Frost Crow. His father, Wu Ju, was a clan prodigy who married the daughter of a Kunpeng Clan elder despite the two clans' ancient enmity. The Kunpeng Clan imprisoned Wu Ju, while disputes over his children divided the Golden Crow Clan; Golden Crow and Frost Crow eventually ended up in the Great Yan Dynasty. 544 600

He first appeared as a newly hatched black-gold bird. Spirit Aunt identified his lineage as that of a Seven Fiend Black Golden Crow, a Royal Demonic Beast whose ancestor, the Nine Fiend Black Golden Crow, possessed a bloodline comparable to the Dragon and Phoenix Clans. Lin Langtian named him “Golden Crow” and began raising him with spirit herbs. 93
