Background / History

Tang San transmigrated with the cultivation methods and hidden-weapon heritage of the Tang Sect. Before his martial soul awakening, he persistently cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill, later concluding that this practice may have raised his Innate Soul Power to Innate Full Soul Power. This realization also led him to regard both of his martial souls as inherently poor and the Tang Sect heritage as his true foundation. 13 35

He grew up in Holy Soul Village under Tang Hao's care, but performed the household labor himself while his father drank and neglected daily responsibilities. Watching Yu Xiaogang receive Yu Yuanzhen's affection through the Heavenly Screen made Tang San intensely jealous of their father-son relationship. 10

Tang San became Yu Xiaogang's disciple and remained fiercely loyal to him, openly defending him when Ning Rongrong questioned his qualifications. He trusts his teacher's guidance on soul-ring selection and accepted Yu Xiaogang's advice that his Twin Martial Souls would allow him to compensate for the Blue Silver Grass's weaknesses. 3 35 105

The Heavenly Screen's revelations gradually exposed Tang San's family history. He learned that Tang Hao was Clear Sky Douluo and a member of the Clear Sky Sect, then recognized Ah Yin—a Hundred Thousand Year Transformed Soul Beast—as his mother. Believing Martial Soul Hall was responsible for the persecution of his parents and the decline of the Clear Sky Sect, he vowed revenge against it. 269 415

Personality

Tang San is diligent, self-assured, and highly protective of those he considers his own. He remains loyal to Yu Xiaogang despite criticism, but reacts with intense hostility when others mock his teacher or seek access to Tang Sect techniques. 35 194

He places exceptional value on the Tang Sect's legacy and considers its methods superior to the Douluo Continent's Martial Soul system. This conviction shapes his refusal to share his Self-Created Soul Skills and hidden-weapon knowledge with others. 35 194 248

Tang San can become visibly consumed by desire for rare resources. Upon recognizing the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and its Immortal Grade Medicinal Herbs, he lost his usual composure and privately regarded anyone blocking his path to the herbs as an enemy. 162 163 164
