A Visitor Arrives

"Ah!" Zheng Yuhang jolted upright in bed, clutching his forehead and gasping for breath. His nostrils seemed to still carry the faint scent of blood.

Thank goodness... there was nothing on his forehead. For a moment, he had truly thought he'd been killed.

"What, did you have a nightmare?" someone beside him asked. "Why are you jumping around like that?"

He picked up his phone and checked the time. It was 4:30 in the afternoon. He had night shift duty these past two days, so he slept in the staff dorm during the day.

"Ugh..." Once he realized it had only been a dream, Zheng Yuhang flopped back onto the bed listlessly. "Sorry, Engineer Zhang. I didn't wake you, did I?"

"It's fine. I woke up half an hour ago." Engineer Zhang was tidying his bed. "What kind of dream was it?"

At the thought of that dream, Zheng Yuhang felt a little embarrassed. What the hell had that even been? A beautiful girl in gothic clothes wanted to destroy the reactor, and he had stepped forward righteously to stop her, only to get his head blown off with one slash. Wouldn't people laugh their heads off if he told them? "Nothing... I just dreamed... that something happened at the nuclear power plant."

"Something happened?" Engineer Zhang's tone immediately turned serious. "What happened?"

"You'd better think it over carefully." Engineer Zhang stopped what he was doing and turned to look at him. "What's that saying again? You dream about what you think about during the day. Did you overlook something at work? In our line of work, even the slightest mistake is unacceptable."

Zheng Yuhang fell silent. He would never tell anyone the cause of the accident, even if it killed him, but he couldn't argue with an old hand
