Li San tried his best to place the person in the middle position. After settling him in, he pulled down the safety bar to cover the seat and keep the man from flying out once the ride started.
In truth, the outcome was the same whether the safety bar was down or not.
"If he flies out, he might get a quick death at least," the nearby staff member sneered as he looked at half-dead 0175.
Li San glanced at the nearest ring not far down the track, its surface welded full of steel rebars pointing toward the center, through which the coaster would soon pass. He hesitated for a moment, then reached out and untied the tight noose around 0175's neck.
Tortured mercilessly by the rope, 0175 was finally able to draw a normal breath.
"He's going to die soon anyway, why bother untying that rope?" The staff member on the side glanced at Li San.
Two cameramen following behind stepped up to capture 0175's half-dead expression, and a few tracking drones descended onto the roller coaster to film from above—the work on the roller coaster certainly could not be left to human cameramen.
"The rope would interfere with the roller coaster's operation," Li San threw the rope onto the ground and explained.
"You really aren't squeamish about them, even willing to touch them," the staff member muttered as he stepped back a few paces, putting some distance between himself and the noose on the ground as if it were smeared with shit. "Let's go, the job's done. Watch the rest back down below."
After 0175 boarded, the ride did not start immediately. The host on stage was still hyping up the crowd, waiting for audience excitement to peak before setting the roller coaster
