Bengbeng, a Lifelong Enemy
As Gu Mian had expected, Chu Changge shook his head.
Gu Mian suspected that even if Chu Changge remembered anything, he wouldn't say a word. After all, Chu Changge was the biggest riddle master among his companions.
After getting nowhere with Chu Changge, Gu Mian turned to Xiao Qiao.
Xiao Qiao had gone offline again. The little bit of cleverness she'd managed to muster earlier had vanished without a trace.
All right. He'd known Xiao Qiao would be no help either way.
Aside from the three of them, the only surviving guardian was Xie Bian, who was inside the house. Xie Bian seemed clever enough, but unfortunately, he was still unconscious and couldn't be asked.
"Have you ever seen a tree?" Gu Mian thought for a moment, then asked the three people in front of him.
"A tree? What tree?" Liu Ruyan had been standing for a while, so she sat down on the fabric sofa in Xie Bian's living room. "If you mean the ones in the greenbelt outside, then I see them every day."
"Mm-hmm." Xiao Qiao nodded along with Liu Ruyan.
"No." Chu Changge probably knew Gu Mian wasn't asking about an ordinary tree, so he gave a direct answer.
All right, it seemed none of the guardians had ever seen that gigantic tree.
What exactly was that tree? And what were all those densely packed fruits growing on it? Gu Mian couldn't make heads or tails of it. If he got the chance, he wanted to see it again, but he didn't know how he could find his way back to that giant tree.
His instincts told him that the tree had an important connection to the low-dimensional world. It had appeared when Paradise World turned into a seed in his hand.
