Background / History

Little Skull originated as the product of an unknown stitching experiment. Fragmentary memories show an unidentified creator sewing together disparate bones, decayed tissue, and resentment-filled energy cores with black thread before sealing the incomplete being inside a rune-covered egg. It retained only pain, confusion, and a yearning for wholeness from this process. 79

The egg was kept at the center of the Plain of Skeletons, guarded by three enormous statues. When it began draining Wang Quan's blood and life Origin, Wang Quan's system identified it as an unclaimed high-level composite life aggregate with faint consciousness and forcibly converted it into a spirit-contract unit at the cost of a 100 Skill Point loan. 78

After hatching, the creature acknowledged Wang Quan as its master. Wang Quan named it “Skullhead”; later narration and dialogue commonly refer to it as Little Skull. 79 85

Appearance

At hatching, Little Skull was an unnerving, partially incomplete skeleton whose lower body merged into the void. Later appearances usually describe it as a pale or glowing-white skeleton with green ghostfire burning in its eye sockets. 79 121

Personality

Little Skull began as cautious, timid, and deeply reverent toward Wang Quan, communicating in broken soul-thoughts and immediately obeying his commands. 79 Over time, it becomes more talkative, excitable, and mischievous, especially when assigned reconnaissance or combat work. 126

It is intensely gluttonous, judging enemies by their taste, nutritional value, Death Qi, or “chewiness.” This appetite can make it impulsive: it asks to eat Ruo Jue, rashly charges into an unidentified baleful cloud, and loses two teeth trying to bite an unknown creature in Weak Water. 318 319 401

Despite its appetite and occasional recklessness, Little Skull is unwaveringly loyal. It repeatedly prioritizes Wang Quan's safety, remains bound to him by soul contract, and chooses to accompany him on a mission that Wang Quan warns may lead to death. 121 421 429

Little Skull can dissolve into the void or merge with shadows, leaving little to no detectable aura behind.
