Background / History

Ingetsu was initially an Uchiha Police Force member known to others as gentle, refined, and consistently smiling. Behind that image, he arranged his own imprisonment, ensured Inabi would confront him in a dungeon filled with Inabi’s subordinates, and prepared the patrol schedule so that Izumi, Nanpu, and Tamio would pursue him afterward. He escaped with a sword and slaughtered the dungeon guards before awakening Yachihoko through the accumulated power of fifty pairs of Sharingan. 1

He became the apparent culprit behind the Uchiha massacre and led the surviving Uchiha away from Konoha. Although ruthless toward opponents and clan members who stood in his way, Inabi believed Ingetsu had spared the clan’s civilians and killed with speed and precision. 9 During the escape, he protected his group, stabilized the gravely injured Tamao with medicine from his Storage Space, and later directed the survivors toward a new settlement. 12 74

Ingetsu ultimately declared his intent to rebuild the Uchiha clan and establish territory for it in the Ninja World. 74 After occupying Konoha, he assumed control of the Hokage’s office, converted captured enemy ninja into Uchiha ninja to supply the village’s workforce, and used the King’s Fortress as the core of the new regime. 140 145

His position among the Uchiha solidified after he revealed Konoha’s role in the clan’s annihilation to the reincarnated clan members. The Uchiha accepted him as their leader and savior, while Ingetsu openly claimed the title of Sage of Six Paths. 149

He is pragmatic about violence and power. Ingetsu kills or seals opponents who resist him, controls allies and enemies through Yachihoko, and treats powerful individuals and tools as assets for the Uchiha’s growth. 46 112 177 At the same time, he consistently prioritizes the survival, strength, and future of the Uchiha clan. 74 149

Despite his methods, he shows consideration toward followers, partners, and civilians under his protection.
