Background / History
The Uchiha developed from the Warring States period and later reconciled with the Senju to jointly establish Konohagakure. Their history remained marked by ostracism following the Nine-Tails incident, when Konoha drove them to the village’s edge and spread suspicions against them without investigating the true perpetrator. 149 164
Before the clan’s destruction, its leadership and core members gathered at Naka Shrine to debate seizing power amid Konoha’s instability. Fugaku sought caution, while hawkish members pressed for action; the clan’s conflict with the village had become irreconcilable after the Nine-Tails attack. 405
During the Night of the Clan Annihilation, Uchiha Itachi slaughtered clan civilians under outside orders. Ingetsu killed Police Force members to awaken his Mangekyo Sharingan, then led surviving officers away from Konoha. Konoha later publicly blamed Ingetsu for both the massacre and Danzō’s death. 1 2 13 164
The surviving Uchiha Rogue Squad escaped Konoha, fought repeated pursuit forces, and eventually sought territory where the clan could be rebuilt. Yinyue declared his intention to restore the Uchiha in the Ninja World, with the survivors supporting his leadership. 13 74
After occupying Konoha, Yinyue used Impure World Reincarnation to restore deceased Uchiha and assigned them to the new village’s departments, addressing its shortage of experienced core personnel. The resurrected clan members initially blamed Yinyue and Itachi, but accepted Yinyue’s account of Konoha’s role in the annihilation and pledged themselves to him. 145 147 149

- Uchiha shinobi commonly possess strong Fire Release, swordsmanship, and close-quarters combat traditions. 16
- The clan’s internal bonds are portrayed as intense but contradictory; its members struggle to express emotions directly despite strongly valuing love and kinship. 149
- Clan members were organized through institutions including the Uchiha Police Force and clan assemblies at Naka Shrine. 1 405
