Differential Treatment

After Li Xiao was taken away, a group of vicious-looking "orderlies" carrying iron rods stormed in and escorted all the examinees into a room labeled Temporary Ward.

It was a twelve-bed ward with a terrible environment. The paint peeled from the walls, and the air was damp and gloomy, with cockroaches occasionally darting out.

The ward was full, yet there was not a trace of life in it.

The patients wore numb expressions. Every one of them was gaunt and skeletal, with deathly pale lips and dark circles beneath their eyes.

They did not even react to the sound of the newcomers entering.

Only when they heard the iron rods of the "orderlies" striking against something did they fearfully shrink beneath their blankets, trembling all over.

They were then assigned their beds.

Bo Shuo chose a spot near the door for easier movement.

A sweet-looking Pink-clothed Nurse with normal features pushed open the door and entered, holding a medical chart. Her pretty Facial Features were utterly expressionless, stiff and cold.

"Director Hu prescribed medicine for you," she said, raising her hand. The medicine in her hand was taken by the "orderlies" and distributed to everyone.

They were called "orderlies," but their appearance was even more disgusting than that of the previous "nurses." Their entire bodies were covered in sticky, thick green fluid, and they looked like melted candles.

Even the pills were smeared with that fluid.

Bo Shuo was thoroughly disgusted, but fortunately, these "orderlies" had clearly been instructed beforehand. They gave him a small Medicine Bottle containing clean, neatly arranged pills.

Even so, he did not take it, instead having the "orderly" place the pills on the table beside him.

After all the medicine had been distributed, the nurse opened the booklet in her hands and began checking them one by one.

The Pink-clothed Nurse spoke in an icy voice. "Take your medicine within five minutes. Anyone who does not take it will undergo forced treatment."

007 reminded Bo Shuo, "The scan is complete. The medicine is called f893g. Taking one pill will cause hallucinations and amplify Negative Emotions. Taking too many at once will directly lead to infection and mutation."

So the medicine absolutely could not be taken.

However, although Bo Shuo had distorted his background, examinees were restricted by their identities. He had merely put the halo of a Doctor over his patient identity. In simple terms, he was currently a sick Doctor.

But that was enough.

The Pink-clothed Nurse noticed Bo Shuo looking at her. Her previously expressionless face suddenly came alive, flushing with excited redness in an instant. She hurried over, her voice even stammering. "D-Doctor Bo, do you have any instructions?"

It was no wonder she was acting so unusually. The background 007 had fabricated for him was simply too exaggerated.

It had been made as impressive as possible, with countless awards and achievements piled high—a peerless genius without equal, someone no one could even hope to rival.

His medical skills were so exceptional that he could revive the dead and restore flesh to White Bone.

Such a rare talent would not be unqualified even to become the Dean of a hospital, yet he had condescended to come here merely to serve as a lowly Doctor.

How could that not make people uneasy?

Unfortunately, all of it had been fabricated. Bo Shuo also knew exactly what he was capable of. He only knew the bare basics of medicine, at most some emergency treatment.

"I want to change my medicine." The Youth pointed at the medicine beside him, his tone leaving no room for argument. "f893g does not suit my condition. I want a different medicine."

The Pink-clothed Nurse froze. Facing the Youth's cool gaze, she was momentarily at a loss.

Yet the first emotion to rise in her heart was annoyance. How were they qualified to prescribe medicine for Doctor Bo? Well, now they had made a mistake, hadn't they?

She did not doubt the correctness of Bo Shuo's words in the slightest.

"Please don't be angry. This is our mistake. I'll tell the Doctor shortly." As she emphasized the word "Doctor," the Pink-clothed Nurse's face twisted into something savage. A crack split open across her once-sweet face. "That idiot actually dared prescribe substandard medicine for Doctor Bo."

Her furious voice made every "orderly" in the room tremble. Fear appeared on their hideous faces with almost human clarity.

It seemed that the Pink-clothed Nurse becoming angry was a truly Terrifying Place.

He took another Medicine Bottle out of his pocket.

"Oh my, as expected of Doctor Bo. You really are so thoughtful." The Pink-clothed Nurse held her face in her hands, her eyes full of Stars. The cracks caused by her rage slowly vanished, and she looked like a shy Little Girl.

Things were peaceful on Bo Shuo's side, but the others were not so fortunate.

The "orderlies" stood beside them menacingly, merely waiting for the five minutes to expire before dragging away the patients who refused to cooperate and take their medicine for "treatment."

Seeing the contrast between the two sides, Huang Yousheng was so jealous that his entire face nearly twisted out of shape.

He could not understand why Bo Shuo was treated completely differently from them. Weren't they all examinees? Why was it so easy and comfortable over there, while he had to face these terrifying monsters?

It had to be luck! Yes, it had to be luck!

That guy was just a pretty boy. He had merely gotten the Doctor's ID Badge through luck.

If it had been given to him, he could have done it too!

"What are you looking at? Take it!" An "orderly" suddenly slammed its Iron Rod against the bed frame beside him.
