Background

Mu Ningxue is Mu Zhuoyun's daughter and originates from Bocheng. She initially views marriage pragmatically, believing her future partner should be acceptable to her family and beneficial to her father, who raised her and supported her cultivation 7 10.

Her childhood was shaped by the Ice Crystal Brake Bow's fragments. Her mother forcibly fused a fragment into her body, leaving her vulnerable to an Ice Nightmare-like backlash and forcing her to continually become stronger rather than live normally 22 72 207. After the Bocheng calamity, Mu Zhuoyun's family relocated to the Imperial Capital, where Mu Ningxue gained recognition from the Mu Clan and received additional bow fragments through Pan Xi 22.

Mu He's association with the Vatican causes the Mu Clan to distance itself from Mu Ningxue's branch and demand that she surrender her World Academy Competition position to Mu Tingying 154.
