With one final jump, the pitch-black shadow came almost right up to Shane and Shazam.

More precisely, that menacing steel star arrived beside the fragment of Oa where Shane and Shazam stood.

Shazam stared blankly, raising a finger and sending out a few arcs of blue-white electricity, trying to make out the details of this planet that could jump through space.

"A planet made entirely of metal-don't tell me that's Unicron from Transformers?"

"You still watch stuff that old?"

Shane took a jab at Shazam, then noticed scorching gas suddenly pouring from the side of the steel planet facing them. Next, a massive steel door roughly a third the size of Australia began slowly opening.

Only then did the two realize that this steel planet wasn't a single solid mass.

Or rather, it had to be something artificially constructed.

On its pitch-black surface, Shane spotted piston-like mechanisms pumping continuously as the steel door opened.

Its enormous exterior and the intricate construction of its smaller components made for a striking contrast.

"Shh. Don't make any rash moves from here on."

Shane grinned as he cautioned Shazam, who gave him a strange sidelong look. Shane responded with a dead-eyed stare.

He couldn't help it either. His first instinct had been to fly straight up and blow this planet apart with a punch.

What the hell even is this thing?

Until Rachel reached out and lightly slapped the back of his head.

He immediately recalled how often lately he had missed chances to obtain useful information because he resorted to violence at the slightest provocation.

The two quietly watched the enormous steel door open. Then two equally enormous mechanical grapples and several small spacecraft emerged.

All of them headed toward the fragment of Oa where Shane and Shazam stood.
