Shane followed the shadow of the fragment of Oa as it was drawn into the enormous steel planet.

Before the enormous steel gates finished closing, the planet-sized weapon, built solely for war, started running again.

Its deep humming revealed that beneath its seemingly menacing construction lay a precision machine embodying some of the DC universe's most advanced technology.

A group of shit-yellow aliens, wearing heavy suits in assorted colors that resembled Earth spacesuits, flew toward the enormous chunk of debris on specialized rocket boots that spewed flames.

They no longer carried weapons, but held all manner of strange instruments instead.

Joining them on the fragment were mechanical claws extending from the machinery inside the pitch-black planet.

These claws came in various sizes, but none were anywhere near as enormous as the one that had seized the entire fragment of Oa.

Having infiltrated alien species several times before, Shane promptly had Rachel cast a spell to move their shadow.

Using the fragment's uneven surface and the scattered footsteps of the aliens who had landed on it, the shadow concealing Shane slipped off the fragment and attached itself to the metal shaft of a claw that had violently torn off a chunk of rock.

They rose into the air.

He looked down to continue watching and, for once, activated his Super Brain, attempting to learn Warworld's language from the aliens' brief exchanges.
