The Parents' Legacy

Uchiha Hironobu left the Sealing Scroll behind, offered a few simple words of comfort to Uchiha Yuan, told him to come find him anytime if he had any difficulties in life, then turned and left.

To be honest, although Uchiha Yuan had fused with this body's memories, those memories hadn't influenced him much—after all, the original owner was only ten years old.

Then came the C-rank Water Style ninjutsu, Water Style: Water Clone Technique.

The Water Clone Technique was similar to the Shadow Clone in a sense; it could be considered a General Ninjutsu.

But the Water Clone only possessed 10% of the user's strength and couldn't be too far from the user, making it essentially a weaker version of the Shadow Clone Technique.

This technique was probably used by Uchiha Yuan's father. Uchiha Yuan remembered that his father's Chakra natures were Fire and Water, while his mother's were Fire and Wind.

However, Uchiha Yuan's father wasn't skilled in Water Style; as a member of the Uchiha Clan, he naturally focused on Fire Style.

As for his mother learning Wind Style, it was because wind fuels fire, enhancing the power of Fire Style.

The last General Ninjutsu was D-rank Body Flicker Technique.

Uchiha Yuan's father had a Two Tomoe Sharingan and was a Special Jonin of Konoha. If he could awaken the Three Tomoe Sharingan, he would likely have been promoted to Jonin. His mother hadn't awakened the Sharingan and was only a Chunin.

But the class after them had many familiar faces: Ebisu, Shiranui Genma, Sarutobi Asuma, Yūhi Kurenai, Might Guy, Morino Ibiki, Uchiha Obito, Nohara Rin, and Kato Shizune.

These students, with age differences of one to two years, were all in the same cohort, since Konoha's Ninja Academy typically enrolled children aged five to seven.

Uchiha Yuan was also in their cohort, though he wasn't in the same class as these future pillars of Konoha.

Even if they weren't in the same class, most students in the same cohort knew each other, especially among clans.

Uchiha Yuan was a year older than Uchiha Obito; Uchiha Yuan was ten, while Uchiha Obito was only nine.

Though Obito was young, he was quite "famous" within the Uchiha Clan.

On one hand, Obito's grades at the Academy were terrible—he ranked last in every subject. On the other hand, Obito was different from most Uchiha Clan members; he was kind, optimistic, positive, and always talked about becoming Hokage, looking completely brainwashed by the Will of Fire.

But it was precisely because of Obito's personality that he got into this year's elite class.

A Uchiha Clan member like that was probably the Third Hokage's favorite.

Relying on his memories, Uchiha Yuan arrived at Class 2, Grade 4. This class was mostly made up of young members from Konoha's major clans and the children of village ninjas, making it an elite class.

The classes behind Class 2 were the standard cannon fodder classes.
