The True Dragon Jade Pendant

Facing the general's spear,

Chen Guan neither dodged nor retreated. He waited until the spear was right in front of him before preparing to strike.

The pain shot through Qin Wanshan, and he let out a pig-like shriek.

"You only need to answer my questions!"

Chen Guan's voice rang in his ear, and Qin Wanshan no longer dared to act so brazenly.

Clutching his finger, Qin Wanshan gasped. "I don't know who that bigwig is either, but he's definitely someone you can't afford to offend. We did everything at his command! Even the Great Demon of Tushan has to obey him!"

Chen Guan nodded to himself at those words.

Qin Wanshan looked at the pendant with greed in his eyes. "This is called the True Dragon Jade Pendant. It's a Mysterious Grade Treasure, passed down through your mother's family. It can protect its owner on its own!"

Chen Guan and Qin Yanran exchanged a glance.

Back on Tushan, Golden Light had once burst from Qin Yanran.

It had protected her.

That light must have come from the True Dragon Jade Pendant.

"Qin Yanran, as long as you keep that pendant on you, you'll never know peace for the rest of your life!"

Qin Wanshan looked at her with a broad smile as he spoke.

His tone was nothing like a father speaking to his own daughter.

Qin Yanran's brows rose as she clenched the pendant. "Qin Wanshan, you don't deserve to be my father!"

"Whether I deserve it doesn't matter anymore. It's only a matter of time before demons descend upon the human world!"

Qin Wanshan shook his head, looking haggard.

He lay motionless on the ground, as though he had aged a dozen years in an instant.

Chen Guan stood up, grabbed Qin Wanshan, and tossed him into the Warehouse behind the Qin Family residence.

Qin Yanran sent some of her trusted subordinates to guard the place.

"Sir, you can have this pendant!"

Qin Yanran thought it over before finally speaking.

Chen Guan was surprised. "Your mother left this pendant to you. Why give it to me? Besides, it can protect you!"

"With my abilities, I can't protect it. Besides, it's a Mysterious Grade Treasure. Only a master like Young Master Chen is worthy of it!"

Qin Yanran shook her head and explained what she had in mind.

Chen Guan thought it over and realized she had a point.

Who knew how many eyes were watching the True Dragon Jade Pendant now?

"Very well. Once this is all over, I'll return the pendant to its rightful owner!"

Chen Guan took the pendant and agreed.

Qin Yanran smiled sweetly at him. "Young Master Chen, what should we do next?"

Then he strode out of the Qin Family and headed for the County Office.

But before he could even set out, a young man hurried over to him.

"Lord Chen, something terrible has happened! Quite a few people have gathered at the County Office. They say the County Lieutenant kidnapped their children!"

"Lord Li has sent the City Army to confront the people! They're about to come to blows!"

The young man's words startled Chen Guan.

He hadn't even gone to rescue the children yet, but the people had already found out!
