As Sig had said, when they were almost at Lanster Island, they all... jumped into the sea in the direction the train was speeding!
Even though they leaped with all their strength to offset some of the speed from their momentum, they still hit the sea and skipped across the surface like stones.
Franky and Iceberg were lucky that Sig and Arlong each grabbed one of them and helped cushion the impact. Otherwise, they would have been badly injured, if not killed.
"If we take a little detour, a Sea Train suddenly crashing into the island is bound to alert the people there," Sig said as he held on to Franky.
Arlong and the others acknowledged him, then circled around and landed on the shallows on the other side as the sun rose.
These shallows weren't suitable for ships to dock, and the ground was covered in sharp gravel that made it a poor place for recreation. Few people came by, so they were unlikely to be discovered.
"How are you two getting back?" Sig asked Franky and Iceberg.
"We have our own way of handling that. You should worry about yourselves!" Franky was as tactful as ever.
"Please be careful from here on. Though he's only a third-in-command, the Sheriff of Water Seven used to be a powerful figure on the Grand Line, yet Sitoon defeated him with ease," Iceberg warned them sternly.
"Yeah, yeah, we know. Let's split up here." Arlong sounded impatient, but Sig understood that he wanted to part with "these two humans" as quickly as possible, before anyone saw them together.
After Franky and Iceberg left, Kuroobi asked, "Brother Long, what do we do now?"
