Background / History
Li Mo transmigrated into a frail sixteen-year-old whose initial Destiny Divine Eye assessment deemed him unfit for martial arts. After encountering the system, he used its rewards to restore his body and pursue cultivation rather than remain an ordinary person 1 2 4.
He entered Qingyuan Sect and lived at Autumn Water Pavilion alongside Ying Bing. Though he initially wanted to become a stylish swordsman, his cultivation repeatedly revealed a far greater natural affinity for hammer techniques and body refinement 9 23 50.
At Divine Blade Cave, Li Mo tempered his body through successive layers and attempted to claim the Mystic Weapon Crimson Firmament Sword. His Minor Accomplishment swordsmanship proved insufficient to draw it, reinforcing the gap between his sword ambitions and his then-current ability 26 27.
Li Mo later became renowned for helping fellow cultivators. He invested resources in promising people, aided Xiao Qin, healed Tie Qi with an Earth-Melting Body-Mending Pill, and earned the titles “Young Hero Li” and “Judge” for rescuing cultivators in a secret realm 15 68 127.
His martial reputation expanded through the Sword Trial Assembly and later tournaments. He defeated multiple opponents, spread and studied sword techniques, gained control of the Heavenly Human Divine Sword, defeated Jiang Yu, and rose to first place on the Hidden Dragon Ranking 178 180 536 537 578.
Li Mo also became a weapon forger under Elders Han He and Zeng, then under Du Wufeng and Tian Shenjiang. He treated his own body as a weapon, forged increasingly advanced weapons, and ultimately reforged Hammer Treasure into a Quasi Dao Soldier 432 443 489 551 671.
During the events surrounding Heaven City, Earth City, and Mo City, Li Mo temporarily lost his memories and lived as a village blacksmith. After recovering his place in larger events, he became a central figure in Mo City’s resistance strategy and later survived a near-fatal confrontation with the Blood God, awakening his Inner Scenery 591 627 640 654.
Appearance
Li Mo is repeatedly described as a sunny, handsome young man. His body becomes increasingly lean, powerful, and weapon-like through relentless forging and physical tempering.
- Initially had a weak, frail constitution due to congenital deficiency 1.
- Develops a strong, lean physique likened to a red-hot Famous Tool 479.
- His body reaches the level of a Famous Tool, then later a Mysterious Weapon 443 551.
- Can enlarge part or all of his body through Law of Heaven and Earth / Dharma Form, including producing a Qilin-like arm 441 443.
- His body can become extremely hot after forging and tempering in the fire vein 433.
Personality
Li Mo is outwardly calm, approachable, and frequently regarded as noble and upright. He helps others with resources, cultivation advice, and direct intervention, often gaining their gratitude and loyalty in return 15 68 127.
He is also pragmatic and opportunistic. He consciously invests in people with potential, uses his Destiny Divine Eye to identify valuable opportunities, and occasionally frames generosity in a way that ensures both the recipient’s growth and his own reward 15 24 68.
Despite his power, Li Mo retains a playful, vain side. He wants recognition as a dashing sword immortal even though his hammer techniques are his greatest talent, invents overlong titles for himself, and is sensitive about people calling attention to his hammer use 50 120 615.
His later actions show considerable strategic ability. As Mo City’s leader, he manipulates Heaven City and Earth City into treating one another as threats, seeking to protect Mo City from becoming their common target 627.
