Great Shang origins

Clear Abyss Sect was founded by the last descendant of the Great Shang imperial clan. After assisting the Martial Emperor in pacifying the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, the founder returned to Purple Sun Prefecture—the former Great Shang capital—to guard the imperial tombs beneath the sect. Many of the sect's nine peaks descend from Great Shang remnants. 3 147

The sect's founding ancestors came from Central Province, and Clear Abyss Sect once stood above the other powers of the Eastern Wasteland despite holding only Purple Sun Prefecture as its fief.
