Alvin felt that he was dreaming again.
But this time, unlike before, he was clearly aware that he was inside a "dream"—a kind of "lucid dream"?
What shocked him even more was that he had actually seen the "Emperor," the Master of Mankind!
This was the third time he had seen the "Master of Mankind" in a dream, but unlike before, this time the "Master of Mankind" wasn't the skeleton sitting upon the Golden Throne. He was the real, living Emperor.
The Emperor stood atop a Snow Mountain. He looked like a kind middle-aged man, with an extraordinary bearing, sharply defined features, and long black hair draped over his shoulders. His golden eyes seemed coated in gold as they fell upon Alvin.
Every person saw the Emperor as they imagined him.
It could be said that in ten thousand people's eyes, the Emperor had ten thousand different forms. Of course, in the eyes of some particularly blasphemous people,
he might even look like a blonde loli?
Alvin hurriedly shook his head, driving the blasphemous thought from his mind. He didn't want the Emperor to actually turn into a blonde loli.
Just then, the "Emperor" before him spoke.
"Greetings, human."
The Emperor's voice was unique, as though billions of lives were speaking at once. It was neither male nor female, yet despite all those voices blending together, every word he uttered sounded crystal clear in Alvin's ears.
"E-Emperor?"
Alvin was dumbfounded.
Wasn't he dreaming?
A living Emperor—and one who could speak, at that! If the Thirteenth Lord found out, wouldn't he die of envy? When the Thirteenth Lord had gone to see the "Emperor," he had cried for half the day, and still hadn't heard a single word. The Emperor had merely used psychic powers to hint at certain things.
"H-hello?"
