Background

Azer entered the Library of Fantasies after encountering an enormous glowing book in a dream-like library. He awoke as an infant in another world, retaining memories of a previous life while gaining a new family and identity. 476

In Sui Zhi, his maternal grandfather Kurama Genjurou trained him rigorously in swordsmanship and physical conditioning. Azer learned approximately eighty percent of Genjurou's swordsmanship in a single vacation, fought wild boars with a bamboo sword, and maintained a daily training routine for more than ten years. 477 483
