Background / History

An Ning'er is King Yun Chu's deeply favored daughter. Her father values her safety above even the rare spiritual medicines sought to treat his illness, and previously allowed her to possess the Black Dragon Red Sun Pearl. 101

She first appears in Jiaxing City as a red-clad rider whose startled horse endangers a beggar. Wang Ruozhi intervenes to stop the horse, earning her gratitude alongside that of Guo Xuewen and Guo Xi'wu. 28

Meng Qingshan recognizes her as the future “Man Fiend” from his knowledge of Wulin Qixia Zhuan, but is surprised to find her gentle and affectionate toward the Guo brothers rather than matching that fearsome reputation. 29

At Dragon Gate Waterfall, masked men ambush Ning'er, the Guo brothers, and Uncle Chen. Meng Qingshan intervenes, receives her White Jade Fat and permission to wield the Divine Might spear, then defeats the attackers. 40 41 42

After Meng Qingshan exposes Wang Ruozhi's identity and motives, Wang attempts to attack Ning'er and is killed by Meng. The revelation breaks Ning'er's trust in Wang but also establishes her gratitude and trust toward Meng Qingshan. 46 47 48
