The Battle Begins

"You're telling me to fight you? I haven't even activated my Sub-biological Engine yet. Going up against a Main God equipped just like Queen Holy Keisha would be suicide." Angel Yan stretched out on a rock, clearly not keen on fighting Su Xinghe. As for He Xi, once she inherited the Holy Knowledge Treasury, even if she couldn't beat her, at least she wouldn't lose too badly.

"Give it a try. Otherwise, do you think you'll be able to use the Holy Knowledge Treasury against He Xi? Don't forget, she developed it. She's the one who holds the access permissions."

"So come on, let's fight. I won't use the Void or Anti-Void, just wormholes. We're bored anyway." He took out his Silver Wing and idly toyed with it in his hand.

Angel Yan glared at the Silver Wing in his hand. She was still sore about how it had shattered her Sword of Flames with a single strike.

"Here, a Dark Silver Sword. You can use it for now. Give it back after you inherit Keisha's Royal Decree. Now that our weapons are evenly matched, let's do something to break up the boredom. Keep moving forward, Angel Yan. Think about the future—Death God Karl and the Fourth Generation Triangular Body. They'll be far scarier than I am."

"Round it up, and the enemies you'll face in the future are equivalent to fighting me now, without Queen Holy Keisha's Knowledge Vault or armory."

No matter what Su Xinghe said, Angel Yan wouldn't give him the time of day. The Dark Silver weapon would come in handy against Sword Demon Ato soon enough.

"If you won't play with me, fine. I'll go play with Keisha. I wonder how she's doing."

"Queen Keisha, how are things on your end? Has the fight started?"

Holy Keisha paused. She'd been toying with Morgana when Su Xinghe's Dark Communication came through.

"Soon. The plan is going perfectly. I've changed the succession order. The Heavenly Blade Legion may not support Angel Yan, but the angels who came up with her have returned. Help her out when the time comes. Many of the older angels have been with me from the beginning. Some of them are even older than I am."

"Damn it, you actually sent Su Xinghe to Freyzer!" Morgana was stunned. Ato might have been able to handle Angel Yan, but Su Xinghe would knock him out with a single slap.

"Tsk, tsk, oh, getting worked up? It's been so many years. You should change that temper of yours, or you'll never get married." Two Silver Wings lifted Morgana into the air.

If she were facing her sister in her Liangbing state, things might have been a little tricky. But in her Morgana form, her combat strength was only sixty percent of what it had been as the King of Apocalypse.

Even after upgrading to a Fourth Generation God Body, it still wouldn't be enough.

"We're sisters. Do you really want me to die such an ugly death?"

"Now you remember we're sisters? But we were sisters for only a few hundred years. After that, it was war, war, and more war."

"Back when you stabbed me in the back, you never once thought of me as your older sister."

"But what happened between us ends here." The instant Keisha stood up, a Void skull swallowed her whole. Morgana breathed a sigh of relief. If Death God Karl had been even a moment later, she would have been finished.

"I've reached Emerald Star. You should get ready on your end, too. Once Angel Yan activates the Void Engine, have her inherit my position."

"From here on, the fate of the Angel Civilization—whether it develops toward a better future or a darker one—will depend on the choices you make."

Su Xinghe said nothing. His silence was the last bit of respect he could offer the King of Gods. Witnessing the fall of the most powerful being in the universe was a privilege in itself.

"Death God Karl, come out and explain how I ended up here. I have some suspicions, but I'd still like to talk with you. After all, we've been playing this game for tens of thousands of years, haven't we?" Holy Keisha found a meteorite to sit on. She wasn't surprised by the Void Ability Death God Karl had used. She understood how it worked; she simply hadn't studied it. The angels had no need for this kind of Void matter.

"Respected Queen Keisha, in your system of understanding, space is stable. But my research has shown that space is unstable. Without changing your position, I brought the Emerald Star here."

"Hmm. So I'm still above Earth. I see. I didn't expect you to get this far in your study of the Void. Very good. I'll need some time to digest this Theory of Spacetime Instability. Actually, all I'd need to do is strike down Lena's Third Generation God Body, and she'd be doomed. Then, without the device to trigger it, you wouldn't be able to blow me apart."

"That would eliminate the threat the Emerald Galaxy poses to me. Unfortunately, because of the Order of Justice, I won't do that—even though I was the one who established it." Keisha looked at Lena, who was under their control, and sighed. The Main God of the mighty Lieyang Civilization had become a bargaining chip. It seemed Lieyang hadn't been entirely clean these past few years.

"So mortals respect the angels, but gods are different. Forgive my bluntness, Queen Keisha, but you have less than half a minute left. Why not leave now? Why stand here and wait for death?"

"Death? Why run? Death isn't frightening, and you can't kill me, either. It's only a matter of time before I return. I know Morgana told you about using the Great Clock to scatter my Holy Atoms and stop them from reuniting. But if I've gone offline, then I've gone offline. Why bother reuniting? I should just rest. Let's see how you all destroy my Order of Justice after I'm gone."

The instant Keisha was swallowed, every angel was as helpless as if their connection had been cut. Their combat strength plummeted, and some of them couldn't even beat basic imps.

Angel Yan was no different. She'd been happily eating barbecue, but suddenly she felt exhausted, as if nearly all her strength had been drained.

"Keisha's offline. Get ready. Activate the Void Engine, then I'll give you the energy you need to return to the Angel Civilization and undergo the assessment. I'll handle Liangbing. The plan is complete. The war between Liangbing and the angels is over. All these years, she's wanted to surpass her older sister. She didn't want to live in her sister's shadow."

"Now the little girl has gotten her wish, and the war between the demons and angels is over."

Angel Yan rolled her eyes at Su Xinghe. He was all talk. Queen Holy Keisha's fall hadn't affected him, but Angel Yan was another matter. She was feeling completely drained.

"Our queen still doesn't trust me, huh? She had to wait until your big boss was taken out before letting me show up and kill you. Angel Yan, after all these years, your angels are finally getting what's coming to you. Let me settle our thousand-year-old grudge!"
