Background & History

Holy Keisha sent Yan to Earth after learning that Su Xinghe, the Prince of the Shenhe Civilization and Hexi's betrothed Male God, had awakened there. Yan was ordered to bring him to Angel Civilization once he left Dead Song Academy and to report on his conversation with Death God Karl. 3 She was surprised that Su possessed Great Clock permission and challenged his unexplained knowledge of Angel internal arrangements. 5

Before Su Xinghe's appearance, Yan had been intended as Galaxy Power Ge Xiaolun's future Guardian Angel. She regarded Ge Xiaolun's interest in Du Qiangwei as immature and was willing to wait thousands of years for him to grow into his responsibilities. 6 11 Holy Keisha later removed Yan from this arrangement because Yan's future queenship made the match politically unsuitable; Angel Leng was chosen in her place. 15 16

Yan was assigned to pursue Liangbing on Earth as a test from Holy Keisha. She sought Super Seminary's position on Angel intervention, warned Lena of Galaxy Power's Angel component, and remained wary that Morgana might already possess a Fourth Generation God Body. 9 11 Her concern over Morgana and Death God Karl persisted even when the Angel guard force believed itself militarily dominant. 28

Following Keisha's decision to retire, Yan traveled with Su Xinghe to Freyzer to investigate demonic activity and protect Enixide. Keisha used the mission to prepare Yan for independent rule, while Su pressed her to think beyond obedience and consider threats from Karl, Hua Ye, Beast Bodies, and the Triangular Body. 32 33

After Keisha went offline, Sword Demon Ato confronted Yan over a millennium-old grudge, but fled when Su Xinghe intervened. Yan then activated her engines, inherited Keisha's permissions, and publicly assumed command of the Angel Civilization. 35 At Angel City, Hexi tested Yan's worthiness to rule because Hexi retained the source authorization for Keisha's Knowledge Treasury and weaponry. 38

As queen, Yan joined Su in pressuring Lieyang for compensation, upheld Keisha's plan to cultivate Enixide as an Angel, and began confronting the insecurity of Angel Civilization's subordinate powers. 42 43 49 She also organized an expeditionary response against the Taotie threat and considered sending a Heavenly Blade-series warship to Earth as Angel Leng's dowry and a defense asset. 47 50

Personality

Yan is deeply loyal to Holy Keisha and initially treats Keisha's decisions as inherently justified. When Su Xinghe questions Keisha's retirement plan, Yan reacts defensively and insists that Keisha must have her reasons. 32 Her loyalty also shapes her support for Enixide's eventual cultivation despite objections from Liangbing and reservations from Su Xinghe. 43

Her early reign is marked by anxiety and self-doubt. Yan openly admits that she would rather remain a Left Wing Guard than bear responsibility for the Angel Civilization, and later worries that future wars could lead the Angels into disaster. 32 47 Nevertheless, she grows more assertive: she rebukes a subordinate civilization's representative for challenging her authority and accepts that a king must make decisions beyond personal faith in the Order of Justice. 49 50
