Angel Yan couldn't help turning her eyes white as she prepared to use Eye of Insight to read information about this civilization.
Meanwhile, Angel Zhui watched the strange planet warily.
Neither of them noticed that the moment they appeared in the space outside United Star, the entire star system stirred into a frenzy, like a slumbering giant awakening.
In orbit around the star, the massive ring-shaped structure of Sky Pillar Fortress entered a state of readiness.
Wave after wave of covert tachyon signals leaped through hyperspace.
In Sky Pillar Fortress's starport, warships emerged from stealth one after another, like beasts rousing from their lairs.
Their sheer numbers blotted out the sky!
Yet the two angels remained completely unaware.
Confusion showed in Angel Yan's pale eyes. Her attention was fixed entirely on United Star before her.
"What's going on? I can't read any information at all?"
"Sister Yan, what's wrong?" Angel Zhui asked, looking tense.
For some reason, she sensed a vague threat emanating from the mysterious planet before them.

Angel Yan's eyes abruptly returned to normal. She clutched her head, looking bewildered.
An Angel Warrior's brain was comparable to a supercomputer. With the help of the Dark Plane Gene System, they could process vast amounts of external information quickly and efficiently.
By all rights, whether it was a Spaceflight-level Civilization or a Pre-nuclear Civilization—
Even if it was another God-level Civilization, the angels should have found it easy to read someone else's information.
Yet she couldn't read a single thing about this civilization!

To Angel Yan's surprise, before she had even entered the atmosphere, dozens of Cruise Drones burst out from Star Ring Base, which encircled United Star, and moved to intercept her.
They were incredibly fast, reaching the speed of light!

The warning went out.
Without any further preamble, the other side immediately launched a defensive counterattack against Angel Yan.
With their pure-white wings and angelic appearance, the two women did not fit the Human Federation's definition of a true human.
The intelligent system automatically identified them and classified them as unknown Alien Species.

Tachyon signals raced through the vacuum at faster than light speed.

Angel Yan's pupils contracted. She raised her Flame Sword to block, but the impacts sent sparks flying and hurled her body dozens of miles through the vacuum.
Like a billiard ball struck and sent flying.

Space drones streaked past at near-light speed. Their terrifying speed let them surround the two angels in an instant!
The energy missiles carried by their weapons seemed to be imbued with some kind of disintegration field, and packed a serious punch.
During the clash, the Flame Sword in Angel Yan's hand had been nearly disintegrated at the molecular level and was now useless. Most of the silver armor on her body had been burned through, exposing her smooth skin and leaving terrible burn marks.
Without her weapon, she had no way to unleash her divine power. Angel Yan could only dodge in every direction.
In space beyond the atmosphere, Angel Wings could normally fly at 10 to 20 percent of light speed. Their maximum speed depended on the Dark Energy output their gene engine could channel.
That was already incredibly fast—faster, in fact, than the Taotie Warships invading Earth Civilization!
But compared to the true speed of light, it was still as slow as a tortoise.
"How can these machines be so terrifying?" Angel Yan had suffered a heavy loss in her first battle and sensed trouble.
She had never seen any civilization with machinery this advanced!
Even she, the Left-Wing Guardian of the Angel Civilization, seemed powerless against these machines.
"Sister Yan, we should retreat for now and tell Queen Keisha what's happening here," Angel Zhui said, her back against Angel Yan's.
Angel Yan wanted to open a Micro Wormhole transport channel and get them out of this dangerous place.
But a cruiser-class starship in the distance had already trained its main guns on them.

Brilliant lightning erupted. A light-speed strike hit them in an instant, engulfing their bodies.
