Based on her understanding of Xu Xiaoyan, the girl was thoughtful and fairly cheerful.

There was a sharp edge to the girl's voice, leaving Tang Wulin completely bewildered.
But when he saw her eyes, slightly reddened, he decided to back down.
"I was wrong, I was wrong. But she's a senior sister from our blacksmithing side."
"That doesn't make it okay!" Xu Xiaoyan glared at Tang Wulin in a huff, leaving him utterly helpless.
Tang Wulin was fine with boys, but he really was a little shy around girls.
Chen Ye coughed and looked at Xu Xiaoyan.
"Alright, let's go in first. We can talk after we enter the Rising Spirit Platform."
"I asked Senior Sister Mu Xi to come. She's also at the Three Rings level, so she'll be able to protect us once we're inside."
Chen Ye looked helpless. Just as he was about to get up and leave the bus, Xu Xiaoyan stood too, glaring at him.
The girl's eyes were red-rimmed. When she looked at him, her gaze carried a fragile, heartbroken look that left Chen Ye at a loss.
"Explain yourself. What do you mean, she's also your senior sister? Isn't Gu Yue your only senior sister?"

Xu Xiaoyan sounded angry, but her eyes were full of hurt.

If those two ended up together and it really turned into a love-triangle mess, he'd be in for a world of trouble.
For now, the two girls were only his senior sisters, so he could force an explanation.
The problem was that girls weren't exactly rational about these things. If both of them had feelings for him, then they had feelings for him.
Their age meant they couldn't be together right now, but those feelings were still there.
If they ran into each other now, it might not turn into a real love-triangle mess, but it would still give Chen Ye a major headache.
"Ahem, Mu Xi is my senior sister too. She's helped me a lot, and she's the one who taught me blacksmithing!"
Chen Ye paused there and turned to look at Gu Yue.
The girl was looking at him. Her gaze was still calm and cold, but her brows had drawn together slightly.
They'd been together for three years, and from that one gesture, Chen Ye could tell that Gu Yue was unhappy.
But Chen Ye didn't rush to explain. Instead, he looked calmly at Xu Xiaoyan.
His voice was calm, but his tone was utterly righteous.
"But Gu Yue is different to me. She's my senior sister, but she's more than just my senior sister."
"I don't want my relationship with Gu Yue to remain at the level of senior sister and junior."

Gu Yue had been looking at Chen Ye, but when she heard those words, a strange glint appeared in her cool eyes.
