Background / History

Gu Yue enters the Spirit Pagoda under a fabricated identity and becomes Leng Yaozhu's final disciple. Learning that her senior martial brother, Chen Ye, possesses the Golden Dragon King Martial Soul sparks her curiosity, since she knows the Golden Dragon King left no bloodline in the world. 12

She arrives at Eastsea Academy three years early to investigate Chen Ye. Upon meeting him, she senses bloodline resonance, initially considers killing him for the Golden Dragon King power, then realizes that his power is a martial soul rather than a bloodline she can simply devour. She instead considers whether he could help her perfect the Dragon God's power. 13

While posing as an Elemental Master, Gu Yue trains under Leng Yaozhu alongside Chen Ye. Their relationship begins as a tense rivalry: she defeats him during early training, but he surpasses her after reaching Three Rings. 14 15

Her original mission remains tied to obtaining Golden Dragon King power and reviving the Soul Beasts. Over time, however, her feelings for Chen Ye make her increasingly unwilling to harm him or leave him. 59 112

Gu Yue eventually reveals herself as the Silver Dragon King, identifies herself as the common ruler of Soul Beasts, and acts openly to secure a future for them. 182
