Background

Ning Rongrong is the daughter of Ning Fengzhi, Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Her mother’s final wish required Rongrong to awaken Ye Xingchen with a kiss, leading her to approach the ice coffin despite her embarrassment and uncertainty 1 2.

After Ye Xingchen awakens, Ning Fengzhi proposes that Rongrong become his companion. Rongrong accepts the marriage proposal following their unexpected kiss, though their early relationship is defined by mutual teasing, misunderstandings, and her suspicion that Ye may be a transformed Soul Beast 2 4 5.

Despite this arrogance, she is affectionate, loyal, and protective toward those she accepts. Frozen Forest Journey

She accompanies Ye Xingchen to the Frozen Forest in search of his first Soul Ring. During attacks by Spirit Hall-associated pursuers, she uses her pagoda, Rainbow Ship, and knowledge of Chen Xin’s protection to keep herself and Ye Xingchen alive 10 14 15.

Journey to Shrek Academy

Rongrong travels with Ye Xingchen to Shrek Academy, where they rescue Zhu Zhuqing and later defeat the Mutant White Tiger. She boosts Ye Xingchen during the battle, adopts the surviving cub Xiao Bai, and welcomes Zhu Zhuqing into their group 20 22 23.
