Lin Sheng was originally known as Lin Chen, a transmigrator who possessed the Heavenly Battle Path’s Daily Record. The diary could be completed through mental writing, rewarded him for changing fate, and exposed future events to selected readers across Douluo Continent 1 5. Six years after arriving in Douluo Continent, he was already known for his overwhelming sword intent and detached demeanor 20.

After completing an early diary entry, he received the first volume of the Heavenly Book. Its insight deepened his sword intent, enhanced his soul rings, accelerated his Divine Power circulation, and strengthened his mind 5 6.

He entered the Star Dou Great Forest seeking a destructive ten-thousand-year fourth soul ring. He chose the Extreme Bone Spirit Leopard because its annihilation-oriented killing intent complemented his own sword intent, then absorbed its ring to become a Level 43 Spirit Sect 6 9. During this expedition, Di Tian intervened to protect him from Ling Yuan, revealing that the soul beast side had taken a direct interest in him 10.
