The Black Sword is the True Body

The simulacrum drew the "Eternal Slaughterer" and turned to look at Saier.

In his vision, countless possible futures took the form of overlapping phantoms, layer upon layer. Yet Saier was utterly clean—she had no future, only the present.

"I knew it was you, Bane!"

With a flash, he appeared above Saier's head. His longsword became a streak of light as it plunged down with tremendous force.

At that moment, Saier slightly raised her head. She was actually unaffected by Time Stop.

With a sweep of her hand, the massive black greatsword behind her swung out, and the effects of Time Stop abruptly dissipated.

Startled, the simulacrum instinctively raised his longsword in front of him.

Clang!

With a deafening crash, the simulacrum felt as though he had been struck by a mountain. He was sent flying and could no longer muster the strength to block the second strike.

The black greatsword fell onto his chest as if it had no weight. With a boom, it shattered a crack through the barrier of "Invulnerability," then broke it apart completely, turning into streams of spiritual light that dispersed.

The simulacrum felt pressure in his chest, but he was not injured. The aftershock was not enough to penetrate his defenses.

But he had no time to think. From the corner of his eye, the black sword came at him again, utterly soundless.

He activated "Misty Step," teleporting repeatedly to open the distance. Then, while rapidly retreating and facing the pursuing Saier, he swiftly cast a spell.
