• Liao Wu explained that Level Eight Gale was a basic attack he could use again after a brief recovery.
• Might Duy unleashed Night Guy, and his kick overwhelmed Liao Wu’s Susanoo and Flame Uchiha Gunbai.

• The Third Hokage and Enma, the Fourth Raikage, Minato, and Killer B attacked Ryobu’s Perfect Susanoo, but Ryobu used Time Stop and a lightning spear to defeat Killer B and the Eight-Tails.

After Danzo died, True Snake and Red Hannya set out to kill Yugito and Kushina to keep Madara from reviving the Ten-Tails. The toads detected the Root ninjas’ plot on Mount Myōboku, while Sage Shima worried about how badly the front lines had fallen apart.

• True Snake and Red Hannya discovered Danzo’s death had removed their Cursed Tongue Eradication Seals and decided to assassinate Yugito.
• Sage Shima and Toad Martial Venerable discussed how Sage Arts could help Yugito and Kushina fight Madara and the Nine-Tails.
• A small toad warned Sage Shima and Toad Martial Venerable that True Snake and Red Hannya were moving to kill Yugito and Kushina.

Sage Shima concealed Jiraiya’s death from Kushina while Mount Myōboku secretly dealt with Root agents targeting Yugito. Yugito wrestled with the possibility of being ordered to kill Kushina, while Danzo died in battle and Tobirama urged Minato to help the Third Hokage retreat.

• Sage Shima mourned Jiraiya’s death in secret and kept it from the meditating Kushina.
• After True Snake and Red Hannya approached Yugito with hostile intent, Sage Shima ordered Martial Venerable to deal with the Root Ninja quietly.

As Madara’s forces battled the allied shinobi, Ryobu headed underground toward Killer B while the Hakimi Army attacked the Ninja Alliance in the Rain Village.

• Cai Lai stole Sasori’s Rasa Puppet to pursue Natsuhiboshi, while Chiyo confronted Sasori with the Karasu Ten.
• Chiyo told Sasori that the Moon Eye Plan would turn people into White Zetsu, but Sasori supported the plan and resumed fighting her.
• Kisame, Mei Terumi, Zabuza, Hozuki Mangetsu, and the Yuki Clan’s Ice Style User defeated the Third Mizukage and Ao freed him from Madara’s illusion.

• Kisame reflected on the comrades he had killed and decided that following Madara toward an Illusion World offered him a new path.
• Mangetsu, Ao, Zabuza, and Mei Terumi agreed to retreat and search for Yagura and the Three-Tails rather than face Madara and Ryobu.

As golden light formed for another country-destroying strike, the sages and shinobi realized Hamura’s descendants were targeting the Ninja World again.
