Arc 24The Alliance and the Moon Eye Plan
Liao Wu survived the lunar explosion, joined Madara’s campaign, and turned Hozuki Castle into a base while pursuing ways to revive the dead and control his allies. As Madara prepared to attack Mount Myōboku, Hashirama tried to secure a lasting alliance among the Five Great Shinobi Villages, but Tobirama’s attack on the Fourth Raikage left the meeting in conflict.
- Liao Wu survived the moon’s destruction through his right-eye dojutsu and agreed to help Madara capture the remaining Tailed Beasts.
- Madara recruited Kisame, gave him Samehada, and set out with Liao Wu to attack Mount Myōboku, where Kushina and Yugito were training.
- Kui died after protecting Toneri’s family, and Kaguya awakened through Black Zetsu and ordered him to hasten her revival.
- Liao Wu moved the Rain Village survivors to Hozuki Castle, established it as his base, revived Rōshi and Han, and made Snake Aunt his military adviser.
- Liao Wu and his allies sought ways to revive Jiraiya, and the Sage Talisman brought him back to life, and Liao Wu then restrained him to prevent him from returning to the fight.
- Tsunade learned from Slug that Hashirama supported her marriage to Liao Wu, while Liao Wu strengthened Hozuki Castle’s barrier and visited Pakura in Sunagakure.
- After the Mount Myōboku Contact Toad warned that Madara would attack within days, Hashirama and the village leaders pledged to fight together and debated forming a permanent alliance.
- Hashirama persuaded Ōnoki and the Fourth Raikage to join the alliance under conditions of village autonomy, but Tobirama attacked the Raikage and Hashirama stopped him.
