  • Tsunade resisted marrying Liao Wu, but Madara stopped their argument and ordered them to finish the wedding ceremony.
  • Liao Wu used his Sharingan to control Tsunade and dragged her toward the Main Hall.

  • Jiraiya protected himself from Liao Wu’s Raikiri with Sage Art: Needle Jizo, then joined Sage Fukasaku and Sage Shima in a Toad Oil Flame Bullet attack.

  • Liao Wu argued that the Land of Rain’s suffering and the world’s limited resources made peace difficult, leaving Jiraiya and the others without an answer.
  • Gama Bunta attacked Liao Wu, whose black Susanoo blocked the giant toads’ strikes before Bunta and Gama Ken shattered its first form.
  • Liao Wu caught Bunta’s cleaver with Monstrous Strength and used his Sharingan to control Bunta, forcing Jiraiya to summon him back to Mount Myōboku.

  • With Candy as witness, Liao Wu and Tsunade married after he had promised to spare Jiraiya.
  • Liao Wu teased Konan and hurried to take Tsunade to the wedding room, but she and the others made him wait for the banquet.
  • When rain interrupted the celebration, Liao Wu attacked the clouds with Spore Clones and Crimson Jade Rasengan, making the storm worse.
  • The wedding guests moved the banquet to the Steel Building in Rain Village, where Liao Wu claimed he was only slightly weaker than Hashirama Senju and Madara grew serious.

Ch. 171Cat Granny and Nekomata

At Liao Wu and Tsunade’s wedding, Madara punished Liao Wu for proposing to name their child after Madara’s father, and Cat Granny arrived with Nekomata to congratulate the couple. Liao Wu subdued Nekomata with his Sharingan and explained to Cat Granny that he had left the Uchiha Clan and Leaf Village partly because of their discrimination against the Uchiha.

  • Liao Wu stopped the Grass Village officials from insulting Madara by having the man who praised Hashirama dragged away and beaten.

Ch. 172Madara on the Left, Hashirama on the Right

  • Madara recognized Cat Granny, and she tearfully greeted him as the same man she remembered from Leaf Village’s founding.
  • Liao Wu gave Madara and Cat Granny privacy while he and Tsunade argued, and the cats teased Nekomata until he woke and chased Fish Ball.

  • Madara said he could complete the plan alone and admitted he had never told Hashirama about it because Hashirama would reject it.
  • Cat Granny concluded that the Uchiha Clan would not accept Madara’s plan, as Madara and Hashirama pursued peace through opposing approaches.

Ch. 173Uchiha's Imperial Seal

Madara rejected Cat Granny’s plea and declared that the Leaf Village Uchiha would lose their clan name, while Liao Wu used the Flame Uchiha Gunbai to assert authority over them.
