Xia Lin drifted into sleep, his consciousness once again pulled into that familiar starry sea of awareness.

This time, however, the sight before him made him pause.

Seratalia sat on a floating sofa, a massive light screen spread out before her.

Her appearance today was especially eye-catching: a red cheongsam traced her perfect curves, while her short silver hair gave her a crisp, capable air.

She was utterly focused on the starlight controller in her hands, operating it as a game played across the screen.

"Wait a moment," she said without turning around. "I'm about to break the record."

Xia Lin leaned over for a look—Resident Evil 2 Remake, The 4th Survivor.

"You're playing this?"

"Shh!" Seratalia skillfully dodged a zombie. "Thirty more seconds and I'll set a new record."

Xia Lin could only wait beside her, watching the ancient commander blaze through the final stretch with astonishing speed.

[Because I want to see the Death God...] As the announcer finished, she smugly set down the controller.

"New record! Six minutes and forty-one seconds!" She then elegantly crossed her legs and winked at Xia Lin. "Did you get tired of waiting, handsome Boy?"

That tone, that gesture... Xia Lin's mouth twitched. "Are you cosplaying?"

"What's wrong with that?" Seratalia rose to her feet and slowly approached him in high heels. Beneath the high slit of her long dress, the lines of her fair legs appeared and vanished. "After all, we are both women who live in the shadows, aren't we?"

Xia Lin froze for three seconds before squeezing out through clenched teeth, "Couldn't you have hobbies more fitting for your status as commander of the Starfarer? Like researching how to destroy the universe or something?"
