Battle of the Twins

Facing the Echo that had condensed into form once more, Sera held nothing back.

She raised her hand, gathering a mass of abyssal energy in her palm. A ferocious miniature dragon head emerged from it.

"Little Shadow, time to get to work!"

At her call, Little Shadow, the magical pet enhanced by Mythical Power, let out a piercing shriek and completely broke free from the energy binding it.

It was now nearly the size of a hunting dog. Whenever its translucent dragon wings flapped, they scattered faint Netherworld sparks.

"Hiss—!"

It let out a sharp cry and opened its mouth, spewing a translucent breath attack. This was Netherworld breath imbued with corrosion and decay, equally lethal to those Vengeful Spirits.

The breath swept across three Vengeful Spirits. They screamed miserably as black flames rose from their spectral bodies.

While Little Shadow charged into the enemy ranks and drew their attention, Xia Lin and Kade swiftly cast buffs on themselves, including [Haste] and [Heaven's Veil], a first-circle protective Divine Art specifically meant to counter evil creatures.

Yet even with their combat strength fully unleashed, facing enemies that could revive endlessly only amounted to a futile drain on their stamina.

Xia Lin's mind raced.
