The air force performance was drawing to a close.

Six giant eagles soared through the sky, carrying riders in Talos Air Force uniforms. They flew over the reviewing stand in a flawless arrowhead formation.

The giant eagles executed a beautiful spiraling dive in perfect coordination. The ribbons beneath their wings shimmered with seven-colored light beneath the sun, leaving brilliant trails across the sky.

Thunderous applause and cheers erupted from the reviewing stand.

Kade clapped until his hands turned red, staring unblinkingly at the sky. "That was incredible! That triple spiral! Absolutely perfect!"

Celia applauded softly as well, a gentle smile on her face. Though she was not particularly interested in such militarized displays, seeing Kade so happy made her happy too.

After completing their final salute, the air force formation flew into the distance.

The Royal Mage Corps followed close behind, using Arcane Energy to draw Aomede's golden sword-and-shield emblem in the sky. The emblem radiated holy light, setting off wave after wave of deafening cheers across the plaza.

The host announced, "Distinguished guests, the air force performance has now concluded. We will now have a thirty-minute intermission. The closing ceremony will officially begin after the break."

The crowd on the reviewing stand began to disperse. Some went to get refreshments, some headed for the washrooms, while others gathered in small groups to chat.

Kade let out a long breath and turned to Celia. "Today was absolutely worth it! This is what a real Glory Day is like!"

"I can tell you're happy," Celia said with a smile.

"Of course! This is the kind of scene I dreamed of seeing since I was a child!" Kade's face was full of satisfaction. "Too bad Xia Lin isn't here. Otherwise, he'd definitely—well, he'd probably say he'd rather go eat barbecue."
