The giant bear charging forward suddenly realized Ling Chu had vanished. It immediately stopped, looking around in every direction, before spotting Ling Chu ten meters away in another direction. It roared again and charged at her.

But just as it was about to crash into Ling Chu, the giant bear slammed on the brakes. Its paws dug hard into the ground, plowing two shallow tracks through the mud as it forcibly came to a stop.

Its broad, wet nose kept sniffing the air. The bloodthirsty scarlet in its beastly eyes rapidly faded, the hostility vanishing in an instant as they became clear and gentle.

Even the way it looked at Ling Chu seemed to be faintly filled with hearts.

Its huge snout moved closer and rubbed hard against Ling Chu, as though it regarded her as the person closest to it.
