Background / History

Suo Ling awakened at the Ju Yuan City Martial Soul Temple as a child with Innate Third Rank Soul Power. Proud of being hailed as a prodigy, he looked down on Mu Rong before Mu Rong’s higher sixth-grade innate soul power overshadowed his own result. Suo Ling nevertheless eagerly accepted the invitation to join the Martial Soul Temple. 4

At the Seven Stars dwelling in Ju Yuan City, Suo Ling disclosed his prior hardships and sought Huo Gui’s protection. His position was challenged by the arrival of Qianye, creating immediate tension between them. 5

He later trained under Suo for half a month, substantially improving his fighting ability and understanding of the Demon Blade. Upon reaching the Great Demon King realm, he chose the Demon Blade Graveyard over the High Dwelling and arranged to pursue a Spirit Seed with King Old Man’s assistance. 36

After Ju Yuan City was destroyed by the Heavenly Emperor’s forces, Suo Ling fled alongside Suo Lingchan and the Demon Blade. Grief and guilt initially left him despondent, but he swore to avenge his family and kill the Demon Blade’s owner. Mu Qingxue subsequently directed the group to the Demon Blade’s forbidden training ground. 55
