Background / History

The Demon Blade first appears as a demon operating under the Demon’s authority. During an encounter with two armed opponents, it quickly disarms one swordsman, but its confidence proves misplaced when the Ice Phoenix engulfs it. The creature’s cold poison leaves the Demon Blade desperate for release and severely damages its body. 9

The poison continues to melt its body after the battle. While recovering, the Demon Blade shows unusual gratitude toward the Old Man who helped it, giving him spirit stones and mourning at his grave. The experience also grants the Demon Blade its first spirit skill, Deep Poison, and strengthens its Ice Phoenix bloodline. 25

After returning to Ju Yuan City, Suo Jiao attempts to recruit the Demon Blade into the Spirit Palace. It avoids an outright refusal, choosing to delay the decision until it has gained more experience and cultivation knowledge. 25
