Chen leaped from the building, biting his thumb in mid-air and rapidly forming hand seals.
"Summoning Technique!"
"Boom!" A puff of smoke appeared out of nowhere, and then a massive creature leaped from the smoke to the ground, kicking up a gust of sand. The earth beneath the giant cracked into fissures. It was none other than the Pomeranian Six Paths Dog! And Chen landed on its head.
By now, Six Paths Dog had grown even larger than before. Where it once stood over ten meters tall, it had now reached nearly thirty meters—a true monster!
"Hm? That's... a Summoned Beast?" Kakashi, who had been planning to head elsewhere with Might Guy to assist, turned at the sound of the crash and saw this scene.
"Is that... from that kid?" Guy noticed Chen standing atop Six Paths Dog's head and spoke in surprise.
"Guy, let's head over there too. Our ninjas can't hold out much longer!" Kakashi saw the Giant Snake rampaging in the distance, with Konoha's ninjas desperately trying to block it but failing to inflict any damage, and said to Guy.
"Yosh! Let's go!" Guy shouted excitedly and charged toward the Giant Snake.
On the other side, Chen, after summoning Six Paths Dog, looked at it in amazement. "This... is Erha? It's only been three years, and this Erha has grown this much? This Summoned Beast grows way too fast!"
"Burst your little chrysanthemum!" Six Paths Dog shouted its signature slogan as soon as it appeared, then surveyed its surroundings.
"Kid, what did you call me out for this time? If it's still for digging holes, you're dead!"
"Yo! Erha, long time no see. I can't believe you've gotten this big!" Chen said to Six Paths Dog beneath him. "Calling you out is definitely good news. There's a war going on here right now—Konoha is being attacked by the Sand Village and the Sound Ninja. I want to take them out, and I need your help!"
"Oh! War? So I can finally cut loose today, huh! Hehe~~~ I'm already fired up! Kid, you finally did something right. As for those scumbags from the Sand and Sound you mentioned, leave them to me!"
"Hmph! Tonight, we hunt to our heart's content!" Six Paths Dog roared excitedly and was about to go looking for a fight, but Chen stopped it.
"Erha, let's get this straight! Only attack the Sand and Sound ninjas—don't hurt anyone from Konoha. I don't want to make enemies of Konoha; that would be too much trouble. At least for now, I can't afford to provoke them, got it? Otherwise, even if there's a fight later, I won't call you!" Chen was really afraid that Six Paths Dog, this battle maniac, would go wild and cut down anyone, so he warned it.
"Got it! Got it! Such a nagging kid!" Six Paths Dog replied impatiently.
Just as Chen was about to send Erha after the Sound and Sand ninjas, a howl rang out from afar. Chen looked toward the sound and saw a Konoha ninja being swallowed by the Giant Snake over there. After devouring one person, the snake raised its head and let out a series of arrogant hisses.
"Beast!" Chen gritted his teeth, glaring at the arrogant Giant Snakes, and said to Six Paths Dog, "Erha, those worms are too cocky—take them out!"
"Hmph! Just what I wanted. I've been wanting a belt for a while! Now I've got boots too." Six Paths Dog said as it charged toward the Giant Snakes.
At that moment, Konoha's ninjas were desperately trying to stop the snakes. "Block them! Don't let them into the village!" one Konoha ninja shouted while throwing kunai at the snake, speaking to his comrades.
The kunai struck the snake's body but bounced off with sparks, as if hitting a steel plate, unable to harm it at all.
"Damn it! Attack with ninjutsu!"
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!" Seeing that kunai and shuriken were useless, that ninja immediately used ninjutsu, but it still couldn't damage the snake. The Great Fireball dissipated on the snake's body, leaving it completely unharmed. Instead, the ninja drew the snake's attention. The snake opened its massive jaws and lunged at him in an instant, swallowing him whole before he could react!
"Miyagi... Damn it! I'll kill you!" Another ninja, consumed by rage after seeing his comrade devoured, charged fearlessly at the snake.
"Akita, danger! Come back!" Other ninjas shouted at the one rushing toward the snake. But that ninja, lost in the pain of losing his friend, ignored their warnings.
The ninja leaped several times onto the snake's head and stabbed desperately with his kunai, but he was just an ordinary Chunin, not some protagonist from a novel who erupts with double the power after getting angry and tears the enemy apart. So all he did was spark a few flashes on the snake's head, tickling it without causing any real damage.
But he did annoy the snake. It violently shook its head a few times, flinging the ant on its head away, smashing him into a house. That ninja lay in the rubble, and the snake opened its mouth wide, lunging at him.
"Is this... the end?" Seeing the gaping maw closing in, the Konoha Chunin smiled bitterly and closed his eyes, resigned.
"Boom!"
Just as the ninja thought he was about to die, a loud crash rang out!
"I'm... not dead?" The Chunin opened his eyes at the sound, feeling himself in disbelief.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! You're not dead yet, but if you stay here any longer, that might change!" A voice spoke. The Chunin looked up and froze. A massive monster stood before him, its back turned to him. On its left arm were three curved blade arms, and the snake that had lunged at him was now impaled through the head by those blades, the tips protruding with a chilling gleam. He followed the monster's body upward and saw a person standing on its head—the one who had just spoken.
"So... so strong. Are you... reinforcements?" The Chunin stared blankly at Chen.
"Well, you could say that!"
"Da... damn it. If I'd held out a little longer, Miyagi would... wouldn't have..." The ninja, hearing Chen's words, thought of his friend again and spoke in grief.
"Sorry, I couldn't save him."
"Akita, are you okay?" Several Konoha ninjas jumped over to the injured Chunin, asking with concern. They had also noticed Erha and Chen.
"That's... Anbu gear! Are they reinforcements?" The ninjas said, looking at Chen on Six Paths Dog's head.
"Take him and leave. I'll handle this!" Chen said to the ninjas.
"Uh... yes!" The ninjas replied, then helped the injured Chunin and quickly retreated.
"Sss! Sss!" The other two Giant Snakes hissed at Erha, seeing it had killed one of their kind as soon as it appeared.
"Hmph! Trash. You'll be joining him soon enough," Six Paths Dog said disdainfully to the two snakes.
"Erha, one each. Let's finish this fast!" Chen said to Six Paths Dog beneath him. He quickly formed hand seals, gathering Chakra in his right hand, shaping it into lightning.
"Zzzz~~ Zzzz~~ Zzzz~~"
Kakashi and Guy, who had been watching Chen, stared in shock.
"Kakashi, isn't that..." Guy said, looking at him in surprise.
"Yeah. It's Chidori," Kakashi said, staring at Chen from afar with a grave tone. His face mask hid any expression.
"Did you teach him?"
"No. I'm sure I only taught it to Sasuke," Kakashi explained to Guy, but his eyes stayed fixed on Chen. "For someone in the Anbu to use Chidori... but without the Sharingan to assist..."
"Erha, let's go!" Chen shouted to Six Paths Dog.
"Yosh!" Erha let out an excited roar, hoisting his giant curved blade and charging at the two Giant Snakes ahead. The opposing Giant Snakes also opened their bloody maws and lunged at Six Paths Dog and Chen.
Chen pushed off from Erha's head, leaping high into the air. After flipping midair, he plummeted straight down toward the Giant Snake below. One of the Giant Snakes lifted its head and snapped at Chen in the air, trying to swallow him whole.
"Beast, you like eating people, don't you? Let me give you a change of taste! Lightning Release: Chidori!" Chen twisted in midair to dodge the Giant Snake's attack, then landed on its back and stabbed the Chidori in his hand into the snake's body. The violent Lightning Release tore through the Giant Snake's skin. The wounded serpent let out a pained shriek, its body thrashing wildly, but Chen had already channeled Chakra to his feet, adhering himself to the snake's body. No matter how the Giant Snake writhed, Chen's feet stayed firmly stuck.
"I'm not done yet!" Chen shouted. He bent down, kicked off, and dragged the Chidori along the Giant Snake's body as he sprinted toward its head. The rampaging Lightning Release carved a long gash into the snake's flesh, extending with every step Chen took.
"Die!" When he reached the Giant Snake's head, Chen drove his right hand, still wreathed in Chidori, deep into the snake's skull. Inside the brain, he activated Chakra again, making the Chidori explode. The Giant Snake let out one last agonized cry, then collapsed to the ground, motionless.
"Ding! Host killed a Giant Snake, reward 2000 Points. Host's Summoned Beast killed Giant Snake x2, reward Points: 2000."
