"Die!" After reaching the Giant Snake's head, Chen plunged his right hand, wrapped in Chidori, deep into its skull. He gathered Chakra again inside the snake's head, making the Chidori explode within its brain. The Giant Snake let out a pained howl before crashing to the ground, where it lay motionless.
"Ding! The host has slain a Giant Snake. Reward: 2,000 Points. The host's Summoned Beast has slain a Giant Snake x2. Reward: 2,000 Points."
The other snake that had charged at Erha had its head chopped off in just a few swings. Chen earned half the Points for that kill, too.
So war really is the best way to make money, huh? In such a short time, I've earned so many Points—almost as many as I've earned over the past decade or so. And I didn't expect to get half the Points for targets Erha killed, too. In that case, I'll let Erha act on his own. If we split up, we can earn even more Points. I should still remind him of a few things, though.
"Hey! Not bad, Erha. All that size wasn't for nothing!" Chen teased the Six Paths Dog.
"Hmph! Shut up, brat!"
"Still as foul-tempered as ever, huh? Anyway, Erha, let's split up. Go somewhere else, and if you run into any Sand Ninja or Sound Ninja, take them all out. You can go wild." Chen spoke to the Six Paths Dog.
"Oh? Hahaha! Just what I wanted!" Erha roared excitedly. "You puny nobodies! Watch as I crush and flatten every last one of you!"
"But remember, don't attack anyone from Konoha. Got it?" Chen reminded the excited Six Paths Dog as he watched him.
"Got it! Got it! You're so naggy, brat. I'm off!" the Six Paths Dog said impatiently. Then he let out a roar. "My blade is already thirsty for blood!" He hurried off to find prey elsewhere.
That guy... Forget it. I'll let him run wild. He can earn me some extra Points while he's at it! Chen watched the Six Paths Dog disappear into the distance and rubbed his forehead helplessly. Then he asked the system, "System, how many Points do I have?"
"Ding! The host has 9,643 Points in total. Open the Exchange Interface?"
"Not for now! But..." Chen replied, noticing several Sand Ninja closing in on him.
"System, is there any way to see through an opponent's strength?" Chen asked.
"The host can exchange for Data Eye, which quantifies anyone's strength and conveys the information to the host!" the system replied.
"Data Eye? Exchange for it!"
"Ding! Data Eye. Item type: Talent. Item rank: C. Exchange cost: 500 Points. Exchange?"
"Exchange!"
"Exchange successful. 500 Points deducted. Remaining Points: 9,143."
A warm current surged through Chen's body and into his eyes, making them feel hot. The sensation soon faded.
By then, the Sand Ninja had rushed up to Chen and surrounded him.
"Damn it! We summoned that Giant Snake together, and he killed it before it could even do anything!" one of the Sand Ninja said through gritted teeth, glaring hatefully at Chen.
Several Sand Ninja had combined their efforts to summon those Giant Snakes. They had planned to send them rampaging into the heart of Konoha Village, but the snakes had been taken down on the outskirts without accomplishing a thing. The Sand Village shinobi were furious.
"Don't think you can escape us!" the Sand Ninja jeered.
Elsewhere, Kakashi and Might Guy had originally planned to intercept the Giant Snake. But when they saw Chen engage it, they went to a nearby rooftop to watch the battle. They had intended to wait until Chen was occupied with the snake, then seize an opening to ambush it and finish it with one strike. They hadn't expected Chen to defeat it so quickly. What surprised them most was that he had used Chidori to kill it. Everyone knew Chidori was a technique Kakashi had created, and it was his signature move. Aside from teaching it to Sasuke, he had never taught it to anyone else. How had this Anbu member learned Chidori? Kakashi was now intensely curious about Chen. When he saw the Sand Ninja surround him, Kakashi and Might Guy didn't immediately go to help. They continued watching.
"That boy's in trouble. Should we go help him, Kakashi?" Might Guy asked.
"No. Let's wait," Kakashi replied calmly.
"Heh. Two Special Jonin and six Chunin? A little tricky, but they'll make perfect practice dummies." With Data Eye, Chen could see the strength of the shinobi before him.
"Kill!" The six Chunin from the Sand Village charged at Chen with kunai in hand. The two Jonin fixed their eyes on him, ready to stop him from escaping.
"Heh! You're ganging up on me? Just what I wanted!" Chen sneered. He quickly formed Hand Seals, then spread his arms. Just as the kunai in the Sand Ninja's hands were about to pierce him—
"Lightning Release: Chidori Stream!"
Lightning instantly coursed over Chen's body, paralyzing all the shinobi charging at him. His arms then transformed into six thick snakes, which opened their gaping jaws, bared their razor-sharp teeth, and sank them into the necks of the six Chunin paralyzed by Chidori Stream.
"Kakashi, what's going on? Is that Chidori? Why did it take that shape?" Might Guy asked in amazement as he watched Chen use Chidori Stream.
Kakashi didn't answer right away. He watched Chen below, deep in thought.
"I see. He's spreading Chakra throughout his body and using Chidori's method to cover himself in electricity. In other words, instead of using Chidori through his hand, he's using it with his whole body. He's traded Chidori's destructive power for a wider range of attack. It can be used not only to attack, but also as a unique form of absolute defense! To have such a thorough grasp of Chidori... What incredible talent. Even Sasuke may not compare! And that jutsu he used to kill the six Chunin must have been Orochimaru's Shadow Snake Hand. He's mastered my Chidori and can even use Orochimaru's secret technique. Just who is this person?"
As Chidori's creator, Kakashi had lived up to his reputation. After seeing Chidori Stream just once, he had grasped its principles and uses completely.

In just a few seconds, the Chunin who had planned to surround Chen were killed instead. It had all happened so suddenly that the two Jonin hadn't even had time to react or stop him. They stared blankly as Chen killed their subordinates.
They were only newly promoted, ordinary Jonin, and their strength was barely on the level of Special Jonin. They had only been promoted to Jonin as an exception because of the Konoha Crush Plan.
"Heh! Now it's your turn." Chen looked at the two stunned Jonin and grinned viciously, though his Anbu mask concealed it.
"Y-you... How dare you..." the two Jonin said, pointing at Chen in disbelief.
"Hmph! If you want to kill someone, you have to be prepared to be killed. Did you expect me to just stand there and let you kill me without fighting back? Idiots!" Chen mocked the two Chunin.
"Damn you! I'll kill you!" One of the Special Jonin saw Chen still taunting them and charged at him angrily, kunai drawn.
"Hmph! Come on, then!" Chen said with a cold laugh as the Special Jonin charged. He drew the Short Sword from his back and rushed toward him. In an instant, he was right in front of his opponent, swinging the blade at him.
"What? So fast!" The Special Jonin was startled and raised his kunai, barely managing to block Chen's Short Sword. "Damn it!"
"Heh!" Chen sneered and pressed down with the hand gripping his Short Sword. The Special Jonin could only brace against the blade with all his strength, gritting his teeth as he struggled to hold on.
"Bastard!" The other Sand Ninja cursed when he saw what was happening. Then he quickly formed Hand Seals, preparing to use a jutsu on Chen.
"Tch!" When Chen noticed the other Sand Ninja's movements, he immediately changed his Short Sword's downward press into a sideways slash, aiming for the neck of the Sand Ninja holding the kunai. The Sand Ninja hurriedly ducked and dodged the blade. Chen followed with a kick, aiming for his opponent. The Sand Ninja could only hastily raise an arm to block, but he couldn't withstand the force and was sent flying by Chen's kick.
"Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!" The other Sand Ninja finished forming Hand Seals and spat several blasts of wind at Chen. Chen immediately leaped into the air, evading the jutsu. He threw his Short Sword like a kunai at the Sand Ninja he had just kicked away, then quickly formed Hand Seals. The Sand Ninja with the kunai saw Chen leap into the air and was about to throw his kunai at him, but Chen threw his Short Sword first, forcing him to dodge. Chen had already finished forming Hand Seals. The cry of Chidori rang out again. As he landed, he immediately charged at the Sand Ninja he had kicked away.
"Watch out! That's the Lightning Release jutsu he used to kill the Giant Snake just now. It's extremely powerful! Keep your distance. Don't let him get close!" the Sand Ninja who had used the jutsu warned the one with the kunai, while quickly forming Hand Seals again.
"Hmph! That move again? It's powerful, sure, but it won't do any good if I keep my distance!" Seeing that he still had some space between himself and Chen, the Sand Ninja holding the kunai didn't immediately jump away. Instead, he stood there, showing off as he taunted Chen.
