"When will you wake up, if not now!" At Obito's loud shout, Sakura finally came to and broke free of Uchiha Chen's genjutsu prison.
"You despicable coward, using cheap tricks!" Sakura glared furiously at Uchiha Chen, seething with indignation. If Chen hadn't immediately trapped her in a genjutsu and taken the full force of her Heavenly Foot of Pain, even Uchiha Chen would have been badly hurt.
But the world had no room for so many what-ifs. Opportunities on the battlefield passed in the blink of an eye. Those who failed to seize them could only watch helplessly as the light of victory slipped away before their eyes.
"We have to think of something." Obito rolled his eyes as he considered their options. He knew Sakura alone couldn't defeat Uchiha Chen. The two of them working together were their only chance to take the Rinnegan back from him.
Obito didn't know why he was trying so hard to help the Ninja Alliance. Perhaps he wanted to survive, or perhaps it was that last shred of conscience buried deep inside him.
"Who knows?" Obito chuckled softly, then turned his gaze back to Uchiha Chen.
"I'll make the first move. Look for a chance to destroy the Rinnegan!" Obito growled quietly at Sakura.
Sakura froze when she heard that. "Are you sure you can still fight?"
Obito didn't answer. He nodded and kept his eyes on Uchiha Chen, his one remaining Mangekyō Sharingan fixed intently on him. The backlash from forcibly suppressing Black Zetsu had already begun, but for now, Obito could still hold on.
Perhaps Black Zetsu didn't want Uchiha Chen to take the Rinnegan, either. He hadn't caused too much trouble during this time. Of course, Black Zetsu would never allow the Rinnegan to fall into Sakura and Obito's hands.
